Could someone show me a tutorial on how to blend images in Photoshop?

I'm pretty Photoshop savvy, except for the fact that I've never learned how to really blend. I love creating graphic designs and have always wanted to know how to blend, so i could make things like these:

1)http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v309/2鈥?/a>

2)http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v309/2鈥?/a>

3)http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v309/2鈥?/a>

4)http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v309/2鈥?/a>

and etc... So if anyone could please send me a decent tutorial, or explain to me themselves how to make blends such as the ones above, I would be very grateful!

P.S. I have Photoshop CS4

Unfortunately, this is a VERY unique style and not many artists do tutorials.

My best bet would be to start experiment with paint or photoshop to create similar art with your own touch and style put into it.

For painting, I would say use some acrylic paints: make the background using thick brushes then proceed to use similar colors to create the body. As for the splatter, put some acrylic paint on a toothbrush you dont use anymore and pull back the bristles on the brush. Little splatters will be flicked onto the painting when you let go.

For photoshop, I would go to deviantart and download some paint-like and splatter photoshop brushes and use lots of layer.
Those are digital paintings done with a tablet. You won't find a tutorial for something like that because it's just too complex and entirely by hand, so to speak.

Most sites that have magic tricks dont have the tutorials for them. It is unethical to reveal magic tricks in such a way. If you want to learn magic I suggest you buy a book or dvd of the type of magic you want to learn. Royal Road to Card Magic is a good book to start with for card tricks ($10US) and J.B. Bobo's Modern Coin Magic is good for coin tricks (also about $10US). You can try posting on a forum for more advice, I post at www.magihat.co.uk.

I haven't tried CS3, so I'm hoping all the same features as the prior versions are as easily available.

the overflow:hidden is needed for this or else the position of your links wont stay where it should. as you will see in the sample, the links will move and stay in position when you resize your browser

you can use position:relative but the links will leave a gap that will need additional code to remove it.

If you are able to duplicate your photo do that first and save photo. Then save the original you also need the ability to bring up another photo along side of the one you have open so that you now have two different photos up on your monitor. If you can't do this then you won't be able to do it

I will do it for you if you send it to me, I am good at photoshop and will have it done in less then an hour and send it right back to you done. Just send my a shot of your face that you want on the Penguin and the photo of the penguin you want it on,and I will do it for you.

Do a web search... millions of tutorials

I am unable to wrap text around an image, using Nvu, even with the help of tutorials. Where have I gone wrong?

According to this link you should be doing item 4!!!

    Editing Image Properties

Once you've inserted an image into your page, you can edit its properties and customize the layout in your page, such as the height, width, spacing, and text alignment. If you are not currently viewing the Image Properties dialog box, follow these steps:

To edit the properties for a selected image:

    1. Double-click the image, or select it and click the Image button on the toolbar to display the Image Properties dialog box.

    2. Click the Location tab to edit these properties:

Image Location: Type the filename and location of the image file. Click Choose File to search for an image file on your hard drive or network.

URL is relative to page location: If checked, Nvu converts the URL

to be relative to the page's location. This is especially useful if you plan to publish your pages on a web server so that others can view them. Using relative URLs allows you to keep all your linked files in the same place relative to each other, regardless of their location on your hard disk or a web Server.

Unchecking this box causes Nvu to convert the URL to a full (absolute) URL. You typically use absolute URLs when linking to images on other web servers (not stored locally on your hard disk).

If you have never saved or published the page, you must first save the page in order to enable this checkbox. (This checkbox is not available if you open the Image Properties dialog box in a message compose window.)

Alternate Text: Enter text that will display in place of the original image; for example, a caption or a brief description of the image. It's a good practice to specify alternate text for readers who use text-only web browsers or who have image loading turned off.

Don't use alternate text: Choose this option if the image does not require alternate text or if you don't want to include it.

    3. Click the Dimensions tab to edit these properties:

Actual Size: Select this option to undo any changes you've made to the dimensions and return the image to its original size.

Custom Size: Select this option and specify the new height and width, in pixels or as a percentage. This setting doesn't affect the original image file, just the image inserted in your page.

Constrain: If you change the image size, it's a good idea to select this in order to maintain the image's aspect ratio (so that it doesn't appear distorted). If you choose this option, then you only need to change the height or width, but not both.

    4. Click the Appearance Tab to edit these properties:

Spacing: Specify the amount of space surrounding the image; between the

image and adjoining text. You can also put a solid black border around the

image and specify its width in pixels. Specify zero for no border.

Align Text to Image: If you've placed your image next to any text, select

an alignment icon to indicate how you want text positioned relative to the

    image.

Image Map: Click Remove to remove any image map settings.

How to increase the size of a jpg, bmp, png image without increase of pixelation?tutorial?

vector images...that's what i learned through my research but can't seen to find a ';understandable'; tutorial on how to increase the size of a image without pixelation. i got photoshop , i got adobe illustrator cs3. i am sure i got the tools but i don't' got the skills or the instructions.

anyone got an ';easy way'; or a tutorial for a noob to start off.How to increase the size of a jpg, bmp, png image without increase of pixelation?tutorial?
Keep in mind that the images formats you list are raster images, put together by pixels. Vector images are based upon formulas that direct how to display the image. Raster images cannnot be change to vector images although vector images can be change to raster images.

Now in regard to your question. There is a limit but the best quality will be obtained, within limits, by increasing the size of the image in 10% increments. This is done by going to Image Resize and changing the units in the top part of the dialog window from pixels to percent. Then change the 100 to 110 (percent). Be sure constrain proportions and resample is checked. Click OK. Repeat this to the desired size or when the quality becomes unacceptable. Skilled users of Photoshop will write an action to carry out this procedure which would make it very fast to accomplish. How to increase the size of a jpg, bmp, png image without increase of pixelation?tutorial?
Depending on the original size, there really is no way.

What you can do is using Photoshop, resize the image (there will no doubt be pixelation if the image is really small), and add another layer and redraw some of the lines that have become pixelated. That should make the image look a little bit better than it was before depending on how well you redraw some of the artifacts.

Also if its a .jpg, you can try to change the image to a .bmp then resize it, but I am pretty sure that won't make it any better.
Photoshop has a transform tool which you could activate by using Ctrl + T as a shortcut. Or Edit -%26gt; Transform -%26gt; Scale. Select the image and drag one of the handles (boxes on the corners and centers of the line) to resize. Hold SHIFT on your keyboard to resize proportionally.

Hit ENTER on your keyboard to accept the changes, or ESC to reject them and voila your image is transformed without any distortions.

Where can I find a step-by-step tutorial for slicing an image with Corel PhotoPaint?

The obvious answer would be the program's help files, but they're not clear on how to save the slices once they are done.

    Image Processing in Java tutorials?

I am planning to develop an image editor in Java which would have the features like copying, blurring, resizing, cropping an image and so on.

I know there is a java.awt.image package which enables image processing in Java. Where do get to know how to use it.

I checked several sites but they contained info only on how to draw a line etc. Can someone help me out???????????

    PleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeImage Processing in Java tutorials?
The BMP file format is easy to deal with. I've written BmpReader and BmpWriter classes in Java that allow reading/writing BMP files into and out of Java's BufferedImage class:

If you study the BMP file format specifications you should be able to see how to write some Java code to read and write BMP files:

I want to write some simple PC tutorials. How does one save a screenshot as an image file?

A link to a discussion of this would be immensely appreciated.I want to write some simple PC tutorials. How does one save a screenshot as an image file?
Try the ALT+PrintScreen button to capture a screen shot of the application. CTRL+Printscreen will capture the entire windows screen. I usually just use the Alt+Printscreen option. Paste it into a program like word.

another really cool application for making tutorials is a product called Camtasia Studio. This program will record your every move of the mouse or keyboard and it can be played back like a video.

Good LuckI want to write some simple PC tutorials. How does one save a screenshot as an image file?
Her eis a step by step article for capturing a screen shot - http://www.webdevelopersnotes.com/tips/i鈥?/a>
Yes yes you can use the typical print-screen as a few people have already explained, but trust me when I tell you, go and download PrinkScreen2000 from PCworld. I absolutely love this program, its so easy to use and it just works better than doing the old printscreen.

    Here is the link: http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fi鈥?/a>
on your keyboard just right of the ';F12'; key is ';print scrn / sysrq'; button push that when you want to take a snapshot of the screen

then open ms paint and paste it

    save it as a .Jpg
you can get a screen shot application that can capture the screen. Just google for free screen capture. Good luck
press the printscreen key on your keyboard, it's usually on the top row on the right of F12. Open Microsoft Paint, then select ';paste'; from the edit menu. You can also paste into word documents etc.

Pressing ALT+PrintScreen will capture just the current window.
Use the print screen key - to the right of f12. and then paste it into paint...or wherever
You could use Paint. Take the screen shot, open Paint and paste it onto the screen. Then save it as a photo file that you can edit or use as-is later.
Shift + print screen will save the image. Open Paint from Start-All Programs-Accesories and paste the image in there. From paint you can save the image as a jpeg, gif, tiff or png.

    Good luck.
Well, considering you are running a PC, all you have to do to take a screenshot (if you did not already know) is press Print Screen on your keyboard (it may be abbreviated). That should be located near the F buttons (F1, F2, F3, etc.) on the right.

Now, to save them as an image file, the easiest thing to do for me is just open up MS Paint and paste it into there (Ctrl+V). It should already be copied to the clipboard after you pressed Print Screen.
